2015 Wheeled Vehicle
Competitors must design, build and test one vehicle that uses a non-metallic, elastic solid as its sole means of propulsion to travel a specific distance and around an obstacle as quickly as possible and stop as close as possible to a Finish Dot.

NEW THIS YEAR - During our tournaments, we will enforce only those clarifications issued by VASO; National clarifications will not be valid in Virginia tournaments. After we announce our tournament dates, we will announce a cut-off date after which we will no longer accept clarification requests.

At the Marshall regional, Wheeled Vehicle will be held in a hallway 6.0m wide.

At the Charlottesville regional, Wheeled Vehicle will be held in a lobby 125ft x 21ft. The space will be shared with the Scrambler event.

At the Fairfax regional, Wheeled Vehicle will be held in a hallway of variable width. The best estimate for where the track will be placed in the hallway (given adequate space for spectators) gives approximately 4.0-4.6m of width for the track.

(Rule 3c) Can parts of the vehicle other than the wheels extend beyond the 25cm by 60cm rectangle in a ready-to-run configuration?
Yes, rule 3.c. applies only to the wheels. A wheel will be defined as everything that rotates around an axle, any part of which supports the vehicle above the floor. In particular, this means that tires and hubcaps are considered to be part of the wheel.
