NEW THIS YEAR - During our tournaments, we will enforce only those clarifications issued by VASO; National clarifications will not be valid in Virginia tournaments. After we announce our tournament dates, we will announce a cut-off date after which we will no longer accept clarification requests.

VASO Clarifications

February 25, 2015
At the Marshall regional, Wheeled Vehicle will be held in a hallway 6.0m wide.
February 13, 2015
At the Charlottesville regional, Wheeled Vehicle will be held in a lobby 125ft x 21ft. The space will be shared with the Scrambler event.
January 30, 2015
At the Fairfax regional, Wheeled Vehicle will be held in a hallway of variable width. The best estimate for where the track will be placed in the hallway (given adequate space for spectators) gives approximately 4.0-4.6m of width for the track.
December 19, 2014 (Rule 3c) Can parts of the vehicle other than the wheels extend beyond the 25cm by 60cm rectangle in a ready-to-run configuration?
Yes, rule 3.c. applies only to the wheels. A wheel will be defined as everything that rotates around an axle, any part of which supports the vehicle above the floor. In particular, this means that tires and hubcaps are considered to be part of the wheel.
December 7, 2014 (Rule 4d) What will be the weight of the can?
The weight of the can will be left to the discretion of the Event Supervisor.
November 29, 2014
Rule 3.g - Piece(s) falling off the vehicle during the run will result in a construction competition violation for that run only.
